Jake Isaac

 

Born and raised in South London, UK, Jake Isaac began playing drums age 3 and by 19 had begun to make a living as a part-time session musician playing drums and bass on various jazz and rock records for a variety of international artists, including the Grammy-award winning Duffy. Marketing manager by day, songwriter and session musician by night, Jake began working with artists such as Cynthia Erivo, Gabrielle, and boy band Blue. Soon after, Jake began to try his hand at writing songs for himself, eventually landing his first major festival opening 'The Other Stage' at world-renowned Glastonbury music festival. Signing to the iconic Sir Elton John’s Rocket Music, Jake Isaac has since worked with and supported Ella Eyre, Paloma Faith, Angus and Julia Stone, and Elton John himself. 
 Jake’s distinctive style of singer songwriter / soul with has earned him widespread plaudits as a singer and multi-instrumentalist selling out headline shows in the UK, Germany, USA, Netherlands and across Europe and appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the U.S in 2020. Jake was also one of the winners of the highly acclaimed International Songwriters Competition award 2020.  

  

Summer 2021 saw the release of Jake’s latest album ‘Honesty’ featuring India Arie, Samm Henshaw, Yuna and Mumu Fresh.  Honesty is a vulnerable exploration into love and relationships as a black man in the 21st Century. A Deluxe version released in the Autumn alongside a sold out UK tour.  Jake also released a short film alongside the album entitled ‘Brutal Honesty’ which featured some of the songs from the album.  The film won two awards in both International and National Short Film festivals. 

 

In Spring of 2022 Jake toured Europe including sold out venues in The Netherlands and Germany and is currently recording his next project.
