Scorpion Milk’s debut album ‘Slime Of The Times’ is out now
The founding creator of Beastmilk’s highly-revered ‘Climax’ album and the subsequent three Grave Pleasures album, Mat McNerney, releases his first album with new project ‘Scorpion Milk’.
The album is called ‘Slime Of The Times’ and is infused with elements of Beastmilk’s original DNA. The album is the most direct, raw & explosive evolution of McNerney’s self-defined genre: Apocalyptic Post-Punk. ‘Slime Of The Times’ is a bold telling of the inverted dynamic permeating through society for the end time. The album itself is also part of a larger creative world, supported by a written downloadable Xerox style manifesto, symbolic visual language and philosophical themes.
‘Slime Of The Times’ was produced by McNerney himself and recorded at Pine Hill Studio in Finland, with mixing carried out by Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse in London. Mastering was conducted at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Scorpion Milk draws from the decaying spiritual core of UK anarcho-punk and 80s post-punk with an opus ideal for fans of Killing Joke, Godflesh, and Crass, yet also set to resonate with contemporary audiences into Health, Drab Majesty, and Soft Kill.
