STONE puts energy back on the map with new album ‘AUTONOMY’ and tour

After ushering in a new chapter this summer with their explosive track ‘NEVER AGAIN’, Liverpool band STONE return to their raw and direct sound with the powerful single ‘MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO’. The bamd also announces the release of their second album ‘AUTONOMY’, out February 20, 2026, alongside an extensive UK and European tour.

With this new record, the band has embraced complete creative freedom to make exactly the album they wanted to, a self-reflective and honest body of work that captures a moment in time from their lives. Written in the aftermath of their debut, the members reconnected through the creative process, producing their most personal, sincere, and cohesive work to date. And most importantly, rediscovering the joy of making music.

The new single ‘MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO’ was the first song written for the album and dives straight into themes of self-control and the fine line between perception and reality. With sharp, metaphorical lyrics, raw vocals, and roaring guitars, it’s a trach that storms the senses with pure energy. The accompanying video, filmed behind the scenes on tour, shows the same gritty spirit.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Fin Power says: “’MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO’ is about temptation and the chaos of partying when control slips away. The birdy in your ear screams for more and the mirror only reflects something you do not want to see. The chant of ‘MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO’ captures that loss of control. Through sharp metaphors the song also reflects on the industry and the tension between authenticity and the image that media prefers. Chasing mice around the board and being a vampire both echo the restless soulless nights that come with the scene. This track is gritty, unfiltered and restless, pulling you into the madness of nights that feel endless.”

Over the past few years, STONE has built a loyal following thanks to their intense, high-energy live shows and spontaneous living-room gigs that often quite literally burst at the seams. Following a packed-out performance at Pukkelpop (and a secret afterparty on a bus), the band is returning to smaller venues this month for four sold-out shows in London, Newcastle, Manchester, and Sheffield. In April 2026, they’ll embark on a larger headline tour across the UK and Europe, kicking off in Liverpool on April 2 and wrapping up in Paris on April 17, including a stop at Amsterdam’s Melkweg on April 11. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, October 22 at 10:00 AM.
