Slash returns to his roots with ‘Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival’

Guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, Slash, today releases his electrifying performance live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, where Slash and his formidable ensemble, Slash’s Blues Ball, deliver a gritty, soulful set honouring the legends who shaped rock and blues.

The band features Slash on lead and rhythm guitar, joined by longtime collaborator Teddy ‘ZigZag’ Andreadis (keyboards, harmonica, vocals), Tash Neal (rhythm, guitar, vocals), Johnny Griparic (bass, backing vocals), and Micheal Jerome (drums). Together, they tear through a blistering set of blues standards and rock staples, paying tribute to icons like Bukka White, Fleetwood Mac, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Bob Dylan, and Elmore James, while also debuting Slash’s brand-new original, ‘Metal Chestnut’. Intercut with candid, behind-the-scenes interviews, Slash reflects of his deep personal connection to the blues, sharing stories behind the songs and his reverence for the artists who paved the way.

Rising to fame as the legendary lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, Slash laid down some of the most iconic riffs in history and created hits like ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Paradise City’. Renowned for his top hat, curly hair, and Les Paul guitar, Slash remains a towering figure in rock history, celebrated for his raw talent, distinctive style, and enduring influence on generations of guitarists. Following his temporary departure from Guns N’ Roses, he found success with his band Velvet Revolver, winning a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance, and later as a solo artist perfectly blending hard-rock and blues with a modern edge. His latest studio album, ‘Orgy of the Damned’, reached top positions in several international album charts.

It’s Slash’s bold return to his roots and a celebration of classic blues, reimagined through his signature guitar grit featuring an all-star lineup of guest vocalists. ‘Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival’ is available in different formats.
