TY SEGALL CRASHES IN CHROME

Burnin' rubber and breaking the sound barrier, Ty and his band are blitzing through the end times in an armoured vehicle of destruction: that is, Chrome, their new album done up DIRTY AND OUT TODAY.

Uncorking rock moods, shades and existential basement raves, "Running to Nowhere" is a combo of hammering, haunted fuzz verses with a light refrain of Blue Γ–yster Cult-era paranoia guitar & dreamy acoustic piano. A thirst for psychedelic mischief manifests in twists of claustrophobia-inducing dry vocal reverbs and textured guitar interplay throughout, head-twisting us in a magical other realitycoloured gunmetal grim. Here, β€œNow we’re nowhere!” is despair AND defiance!

Chrome was a job for the full band: that's TyBen BoyeEvan BurrowsMikal Cronin, and Emmett Kelly. Sensing a cataclysmic sound on the songwriting horizon, Ty and the guys co-wrote half the songs together (Matt Yoka and DenΓ©e Segall wrote some parts, too), turning up the heat at every rehearsal for a solid month before hitting record. All mixed immediate and flexible, colourful and clean, spicy-sweet, with Ty’s vocals of vinegar and sand, wine and grains of silver nitrate, pointing the way. That’s Chrome.

Get Chrome in your dome on August 28th, with a limited new EP "Love Fuzzz"available the same day.
