Future Soul includes the previously released singles “I Got You” and “Who Am I” as well as their new single, the album’s title track, which TTB performed last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. “I feel like this is the most unique record we’ve done,” says Trucks of Future Soul. “It’s my favorite collection of songs that we’ve ever put on a record. From song to song, there’s just not a weak spot. With Future Soul, we wanted to shake things up. We hope that our fans, and everyone who listens to this album, enjoys the ride!”

Of their long history with the Beacon, Tedeschi shares, “It’s one of the best venues in New York City to play. We love it there. It’s intimate, it’s beautiful, and it’s on Broadway, so we can tell people we played on Broadway!” Trucks adds, “For us, coming back to the Beacon is a musical check-in. You bring your A++ game because we play multiple nights and see a lot of familiar faces. It's a great challenge for the band to play 10 nights in a run and bring it every night. You can’t phone it in at the Beacon!” This Tuesday, March 24th, Tedeschi Trucks Band will be guests on “The Howard Stern Show” talking about Future Soul and much more in addition to a full band performance of tracks off the new album. Listen live on SiriusXM channel Howard 100 at 9:45am ET.

Future Soul, produced by Mike Elizondo (Twenty One Pilots, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Carrie Underwood) and co-produced by Trucks, is TTB’s most powerful album to date. The heart, honesty, and full-band collaboration also makes the new 11-track album their most unique collection. The majority of the songwriting was done by Trucks, Tedeschi, Mike Mattison, Gabe Dixon, and Tyler Greenwell with the music sonically pulling from a variety of influences including funk, rock ‘n roll, blues, soul, punk, and much more. Future Soul – recorded at their own Swamp Raga Recording (Jacksonville, FL) as well as Phantom Studios (Gallatin, TN) – marks the follow-up to TTB’s 2022 conceptual quadruple studio album, I Am The Moon, and their 2025 live release, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Leon Russell Present: Mad Dogs & Englishmen Revisited (LIVE AT LOCKN’).

Kicking off Future Soul is the laid-back funky soul of “Crazy Cryin’,” into the infectious, driving mid-tempo, Mattison-penned classic “I Got You,” hailed as “irresistible” by Classic Rock Magazine. The timeless “Who Am I” follows, harkening back slightly to TTB’s hit “Midnight in Harlem” while also being its own beast. “Future Soul” kicks the door down sonically, highlighting a collection whose depth is matched by its buoyant spirit. On “Future Soul,” Trucks, who has notched two appearances on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” list, had fun with his 1958 “crazy Space Age Flying V.” Future Soul also includes the blues shuffle “Devil Be Gone” and rocker “Be Kind,” both penned by Dixon. Future Soul has a lot to live up to…and it does. Tedeschi Trucks Band’s debut studio album, Revelator, won the 2012 Grammy Award for Best Blues Album, while 2018’s Live From the Fox Oakland was nominated for a Best Contemporary Blues Album Grammy. Since forming in 2010, TTB has been nominated for numerous Americana Music Honors & Awards and won Band of the Year in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2023 at the Blues Music Awards. They’ve sold out Madison Square Garden and over 20 nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In 2024, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi (hailed as “two of the best roots rock musicians of their generation” by NPR) performed at the Kennedy Center Honors, honoring Bonnie Raitt, Grateful Dead, and more, and the full band played the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony honoring one of their biggest influences, Joe Cocker, with an all-star set featuring special guests Nathaniel Rateliff, Teddy Swims, Cyndi Lauper, Bryan Adams, Chris Robinson, and more.
