Reflection takes center stage in Nona’s new album ‘Letters To My Habits.’
Today, Nona releases her third album “Letters To My Habits” via V2 Records. With her signature blend of soul, blues, rock, and pop, she once again proves why she is considered one of the most authentic voices in the Netherlands. After a period of silence, reflection, and a creative restart, the moment has arrived: “Letter To My Habits” is now available to listen to everywhere.

Nona’s earlier work is characterized by a fuller, more produced sound, but this time she consciously chooses real instruments, warmth, and space. The new record feels more organic, a blend of the liveliness of her debut and the personal depth of her second album, with a maturity that is entirely new. On her third album, “Letters To My Habits,” her musical development comes into full bloom, as she processes the experiences and insights of the past few years.
The album was recorded entirely in the studio of producer Gordon Groothedde. There, Nona, Groothedde, and singer and close friend Loren spent nine months working on new music. Both played a significant role in shaping the album. Their collaboration goes beyond professional chemistry, it is a close friendship that allows for honesty and intimacy in the music. The use of live instrumentation was essential in creating the desired authentic sound. Without these live elements, the album would not have carried the same emotional weight, and the music would not sound as pure and sincere. “You can hear the instruments. And you can hear me.”
Nona hopes that listeners will find comfort and relief in her music. She wants her songs not only to reflect her own emotions, but also to offer strength and a sense of recognition to others.
