Nala Sinephro’s music being used in a new film

Nala Sinephro’s debut original film score ‘The Smashing Machine’ was released today.

It is Nala’s first original film score, for Benny Safdie’s ‘The Smashing Machine’, which was premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, receiving a 15-minute standing ovation, ahead of its official release today. The film explores the story of legendary mixed martial arts & UFC fighter Mark Kerr, and it stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Academy Award nominee Emily Blunt.

The score was composed, produced, arranged, mixed and mastered by Nala Sinephor, and it features performances by longstanding collaborators James Mollison, Nubya Garcia, Lyle Barton, Dwayne ‘Wonky Logic’ Kilvington, Morgan Simpson, Natcyet Wakili, Mark Mollison and Sheile Maurice-Grey. As well as the London orchestra Orchestrate, who previously provided strings for Sinephro’s 2024 critically acclaimed album, ‘Endlessness’.
