CIEL release their gothy-grungy EP 'Make It Better'

Indie-rock trio CIEL formed in Brighton on the South Coast of England, with members hailing from The Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. Drawing inspiration from the unique creative landscapes of their respective home countries, CIEL's music possesses a fresh, dark, and hauntingly beautiful quality. Combining elements of fuzzy indie rock, goth, and shoegaze, the band's broody and gritty sound is elevated by the soft, icy, but emotive melodies of singer Michelle Hindriks.

2022 saw the band achieve strong radio success with "Baby Don't You Know" hitting A-list on BBC 6Music in the UK, plus playlist support on NPO Radio 2, KINK FM and Radio Veronica in the Netherlands. Their debut UK headline tour in Autumn 2022 sold out in all major cities, and 2023 sees the band release 2 new EP's of material whilst touring internationally. First EP to be released is "Make It Better" preceded by the single "So Scared".

Their 2022 single "Baby Don't You Know" stands out as a sugar-coated anthem amidst their gothed-up grungy sound, and quickly caught the attention of BBC 6 Music, earning them a coveted spot on the A list. BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders was equally impressed, and the band's music received a warm reception from influential music platforms such as DIY, CLASH, and Under The Radar.

Praised for their exquisite and hefty live shows, CIEL played festivals The Great Escape, Green Man and Eurosonic. The band is gearing up for an extensive list of international shows in 2023, including a European tour with Blood Red Shoes of which all four Dutch shos have already sold out:
