SYML returns with new single 'Take Me Apart'

The song follows his self-titled debut album released earlier this year

Following his self-titled debut album released earlier this year, as well as newest single 'Symmetry', Seattle artist and producer SYML is back with yet another track. Brian Fennell is a student of simplicity. As SYML (pronounced "simmel"), which translates to "simple" in Welsh, Fennell writes emotive songs that capture the ethos of his musical persona. Ultimately his songs are a kind and truthful depiction of emotion grounded by his gut-wrenching vocal delivery.

Of the song 'Take Me Apart', Fennell says that sometimes he feels as if he’s floating above himself. It’s easier to have perspective on feelings like desperation or even peace when you can disconnect for a bit. This song captures that disconnect.

In addition, SYML says: "I’m a fan of horror movies and I love a good horror movie score. When this song was being born, I was trying to channel some sort of dark place. As the song was starting to take shape, I had this feeling I sometimes fall into where I feel I’m floating above myself. Sometimes it’s easier to have perspective on feelings like desperation, or even peace, when you can disconnect for a bit. This song captures that disconnect for me.“
