Ron Sexsmith releases 'Hermitage'

Listen to the new album now Physical product to follow on June 19

April 17, 2020 - Canada’s most accomplished singer-songwriter, Ron Sexsmith has today released his  new album HERMITAGE, his first since his move from his longtime home of Toronto to a more bucolic life in Stratford, Ontario.  In creating this album, Sexsmith partnered with producer Don Kerr, setting up in Sexsmith’s living room to record the album, with Ron playing all the instruments except the drums.  HERMITAGE is available now at all DSPs.

Echoing the process of recording the album at home, the lead up to this album featured a series of videos of Sexsmith performing tracks from HERMITAGE acoustically at home.  This series, titled the Hermitage Sessions includes performances of lead single “You Don’t Wanna Hear It” as well as “When Love Pans Out” and “Glow in the Dark Stars.”

Says Sexsmith:“For about a week, the house was turned upside-down.  The drums were up in this room, I was down in the other room playing piano, cables everywhere.  And it was kinda of like when the Stones set up in France, for Exile On Main St., except without all the debauchery.”

Ron’s previously announced tour has been rescheduled. The new list of shows is:

28           DUBLIN Liberty Hall

29           MANCHESTER Royal Northern College Of Music

30           LONDON Cadogan Hall

DECEMBER
