Mount Kimbie releases 'You Look Certain (I’m Not So Sure)'

Taken from WXAXRXP Sessions series of releases, celebrating 30 years of Warp Records

Following the announcement of Warp Records’ 30th anniversary releases, the label have released one track from Mount Kimbie’s contributions to the collection.

When invited to partake in Warp’s Weekend long celebratory takeover of online radio station NTS in June earlier this year, Mount Kimbie brought together the live lineup that they have honed over a couple of years of extensive touring, to record a blistering session of some of their best loved songs. You Look Certain (I’m Not So Sure) which originally appeared on the band’s last album Love What Remains features multi instrumentalist and vocalist Andrea Balency, who has been touring with the band for the last couple of years. The band were also joined by friend and frequent collaborator Micachu for the session, recorded at Andy Ramsay of Stereolab’s Press Play studio in London.

After ending 2018 with their critically acclaimed volume of the long-running DJ-Kicks mix series, 2019 has seen Mount Kimbie keep up momentum. Dividing time between extensive DJ dates with friends like Actress and Nina Kraviz and production work for James Blake, Kenny Beats and TDE’s Isaiah Rashad, hopes are high for new Mount Kimbie material in 2020.

WXAXRXP Sessions features ten specially selected sessions recorded for radio from across the history of the label, from Peel sessions in the very early days right up to the aforementioned WXAXRXP x NTS weekend. These releases present each session in the highest quality, adorned in beautiful packaging designed by Michael Oswell, with photography by Synchrodogs and available as individual vinyl and digital releases through all good record stores and as a limited one-time-pressing box set via Bleep.com from November 15th 2019 (Pre order now).
