Metro Verlaine is the dark pop duo of Raphaëlle on vocals and Axel on guitar, formed in 2013 from a shared love of post punk, the CBGB scene and damaged pop. Following the acclaimed EP Manchester, which brought them to the Transmusicales, they released three albums, Cut Up, Funeral Party and Pop Sauvage, asserting a sound that is both intense and romantic. After touring extensively in France and the United Kingdom, and closing the Pop Sauvage chapter with dates in Brazil, the band returns in October 2026 with RODEORAMA, a new album recorded in Saint Jean de Luz. More direct and cinematic, it continues their dark and elegant pop universe, with a strong focus on words, images and emotion.
