Announces November European & UK tour dates with Radical Face
Vancouver-based alternative singer-songwriter Jon Bryant has announced a 17 date UK and European tour supporting Radical Face, beginning November 7th in Oslo, Norway and ending November 29th in Dublin, Ireland (all dates below). Along with this news, he shares a new video for “Party,” a track from his acclaimed Nettwerk debut full-length album Cult Classic. He says of the video, “I recorded the video in my friend John Voth’s basement. It’s his directorial debut and I think he did fantastic job. It’s a fun bright, vibey concept we threw against the dark themes of the song i.e how easy it is to feel safe in chaos and how we make choices that land us inside a tribe we never imagined we’d be a part of. It’s hard to see things objectively when we’re so immersed.”
In 2015, Jon Bryant joined a cult. His short-lived time in and subsequent separation from NVXIM would inspire the concept behind the carefully crafted album Cult Classic. After reclaiming independence, Bryant penned tunes everywhere from Nova Scotia and Vancouver to Seattle, Los Angeles and Australia.
He explains, “In the early days of writing the music for this album, I saw myself (and the world around me) through the lens of a cult. It was only until I was involved with one, did I actually realize that they’re interwoven through so much of culture. To be in a cult is to be human.”
Recently, Jon Bryant sat down with popular podcast Stuff They Don’t Want You To Know(2.5 million monthly downloads) and NPR-syndicated show q: The Podcast From CBC Radio Oneto detail both the life-changing experience that inspired the transformative and soulful album, but also his newfound perspective on life and complicated relationships.
Stay tuned for more news and new music from Jon Bryant in the coming weeks.
