Heather Nova deelt nieuwe edit van de single 'All The Rivers'

Vandaag heeft Heather Nova een nieuwe versie van haar single 'All The Rivers' uitgebracht, afkomstig van het album 'Pearl' dat eerder dit jaar verscheen. De single is een echt rock nummer dat gaat over de liefde, vol passie en een hernieuwde levenslust.

Over het nummer zegt Heather: All the Rivers is a song of passion and awakening. I really enjoyed bringing all the rich imagery and metaphor into the song, and the urgency of the rhythm, which it had even as I wrote it on my acoustic guitar. This one, like many on the album, came very quickly in a moment of pure love and joy. I always know those are the best songs; The inspiration is clear and defined and I’m able to focus and finish it in one sitting.

Pearl werd opgenomen in de studio van Youth, die ook haar debuutalbum Oyster produceerde.

Over de totstandkoming van het album zegt Nova: “I didn’t plan to release an album on the 25th anniversary of Oyster. It just worked out that way. When I was ready to record a new album, I thought it would be cool to have Youth produce one or two of the songs, to revisit the vibe and sound we created back then. I sent him my demos so that he could choose one or two. The message I got back was “Really beautiful .. I’d love to do them all .. can see the connection to Oyster, but the songs are better!"
