SYML shared new track 'Meant To Stay Hid'

“WHERE’S MY LOVE” GOES GOLD IN THE U.S.

Following an appearance at Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco and a sold-out headline show at Los Angeles’ historic Troubadour, Seattle artist and producer SYML releases “Meant To Stay Hid,” the follow up single to his self-titled debut album that was released in May.

SYML will play Paradiso, Amsterdam on October 15th

The track premiered yesterday via KCRW, who described the track as, “….”. When asked about the song’s meaning Brian Fennell said, “’Meant To Stay Hid’ is a personal song about loss. It’s that tangible and uncomfortable whole-body feeling that someone is gone. It’s the reality that our memory of them will fade and change. But it’s also the beautiful, yet unreasonable, hope that we will be with them again. For whatever dark reason, I often imagine losing those closest to me. However, I don’t live in constant fear of losing them. Writing about it helps me to love them more deeply while we share this short time together. For me, this song sounds like what it feels like when I hold back tears. It’s almost soothing, but without any actual release.”

Where’s My Love,” SYML’s first single off his debut album, is now Gold Certified in the U.S., in addition to Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland and Platinum in Canada. Fennell was surprised with a plaque by his Nettwerk Records team before playing his sold-out show at LA’s Troubadour. His self-titled debut landed at #5 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and was one of NPR Music’sTop 8 of the Week” upon its release.

Over the past year, SYML has shared the stage with Lewis Capaldi, Flora Cash and Dean Lewis and has headlined shows around the world. Following his success at Haldern Pop Festival in early August, SYML heads back to Europe for a fall headlining tour followed by additional U.S. dates at the end of the year. A complete list can be found below and check https://www.symlmusic.com for updates
