San Cisco shares wistful new single 'Skin'

San Cisco joins Nettwerk’s expanding label roster, which includes artists like Mallrat, The Paper Kites, SYML, Mr Little Jeans, Vök, and more

San Cisco kicks things off with the laid back, bluesy bounce single 'Skin', the first track from their upcoming album that is slated for release in 2020. Skin sees the three-piece (Jordi Davieson, Joshua Biondillo and Scarlett Stevens) wear their vulnerability on their sleeve to showcase a more sensitive, sassy approach with lyrics that explore themes of heartbreak, hopelessness and living at the mercy of your soon-to-not-be-lover’s decisions.

“Skin is about being left by a partner that was meant to be ‘forever.’ Being frustrated with the fact you have no control of the situation and living at the mercy of your soon to not be lover’s decisions. You still see a small glimmer of hope, but ultimately it’s over,” says Davieson

Recorded in Byron Bay Australia, the band enlisted award-winning producer and long-time collaborator Steven Schramm, with added production and mixing from POND’s James Ireland and producer/engineer Broderick Madden-Scott. ‘Skin’ is the next chapter from a young band that continues to excite.

About San Cisco:

San Cisco consists of members Jordi Davieson (vocals, guitar), Josh Biondillo (vocals, guitar) and Scarlett Stevens (drums, vocals). The forthcoming album follows The Water, which housed singles 'Slo-Mo' and 'Hey, Did I Do You Wrong?' which both landed on Australia’s Independent Radio chart at #10 and #3, respectively. Prior to that, the album Gracetown debuted at #2 on the ARIA albums charts and Top 10 on Billboard’s emerging artist chart Next Big Sound. 'Skin' is the latest addition to a catalogue that has already amassed 190+ million combined streams on Spotify. Known for their live show, San Cisco continues to be a festival staple in Australia (Splendour In The Grass, Big Day Out, BIGSOUND, Groovin’ the Moo), UK/Europe (Leeds Festival, Reading Festival, Lollapalooza Berlin) and the US (Lollapalooza, SXSW, CMJ, NYC Central Park Summerstage).

"There’s probably no better band on earth that can write such infectious songs that somehow remain jubilant while dealing with melancholic subjects like lost love, and romantic angst, and we couldn’t be more excited to now be releasing their awesome new music through Nettwerk,” says Mark Jowett (President, International, A&R and Publishing).
