Award-winning British vocalist and songwriter, Rumer will release new single “Hard Times For Lovers” on February 28th, one of the stand out tracks from her much-anticipated album, Nashville Tears (Cooking Vinyl) which will debut worldwide on April 24, 2020. Of the track, Rumer comments: “"Hard Times for Lovers was originally a hit for Judy Collins in 1979. What I really like about this song is how it has a retro 70’s country feel yet the lyrics are still relevant today."
Rumer has long been enamoured with the storytelling of country music. While living in the American South, away from the international spotlight, Rumer’s passion for musical discovery led her to Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer, Hugh Prestwood’s work. His songs were the catalyst for Nashville Tears; fifteen of the songwriter’s finest gems, including several never recorded until now.
