Lorenzo Senni released new single 'Vandalize Music'

Today, Lorenzo Senni returns with new single 'Vandalize Music' which is out now via Warp Records.

'Vandalize Music' is the stimulating appendix to his Scacco Matto album released in April of this year. This new offering, influenced by his recent collaboration with legendary American photographer John Divola and his 'Vandalism' series from the early seventies, is a vision of skittering daubs of trance and asymmetric bars of foamy computer music left to the demise of pointillistic precision.

In keeping with his practice, Lorenzo Senni continues his process of vandalising, mutilating and manipulating the musical tradition of trance and dancefloor orientated music. Speaking more about his intentions for the track, Lorenzo explains: “The process started with the endless build-up compositions, the idea of Pointillistic Trance and evolved through my Rave Voyeur concept.”

Since releasing his album “Scacco Matto” (‘checkmate’ in Italian), Lorenzo has hosted a chess tournament-listening event for fans, been interviewed by Hans Ulrich Obrist for Kaleidoscope Magazine and explained his creative process through his sketchbooks for Warp. In the absence of his postponed worldwide tour, he recently played at Club to Club’s online festival where he vandalised a piano alongside his regular creative collaborator Daniel Sansavini.
