Boy & Bear share video for the single 'Suck On Light'

The new album will be out next Friday, September 27th

Boy & Bear have revealed the new video for the album’s title track 'Suck On Light', which captures the band on Super 8 film taking us behind the scenes of their recent sold out Australian shows on their current 'Hold Your Nerve Tour'. Their impending fourth studio album 'Suck On Light' will be out next Friday, September 27th.

Boy & Bear launched the North American leg of the tour last week, hitting Philadelphia, Washington, Boston and the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Their 44-date 'Hold Your Nerve Tour' continues throughout the USA and Canada, then onto the UK and Europe finishing on February 26th, 2020 at Shepherds Bush Empire in London.

The first new music since the release of 2015’s #1 ARIA Charting Album 'Limit Of Love', the band revealed the personal and professional storm of delivering this next album -- one they feared might never come to exist. They were faced with the challenge of vocalist-guitarist Dave Hosking battling a debilitating illness, which drove them to create their finest album to date; a record that takes the trademark analogue warmth of their sound and pushes it to places the Sydney quintet have never explored before.

As Hosking told Billboard.com, “’Suck On Light’ is a song about hope. The moment I personally started to feel like I was on the improve, the moment things started to look up. The choruses always felt like a celebration of life and I think that sentiment carries across the song as a whole.’

Produced by Boy & Bear and Collin Dupuis (Lana Del Rey, The Black Keys) in Nashville’s Southern Ground studios, and mixed in part by Grammy Award-winning mix engineer Tom Elmhirst (Arcade Fire, Beck, Lorde, Amy Winehouse), 'Suck On Light' also includes singles 'Hold Your Nerve' and 'Work Of Art'. The album will be available on CD and standard & limited edition colored vinyl.

Named one of USA Today’s “5 Australian Acts You Need To Know Now,” Boy & Bear saw huge success in North America with single 'Southern Sun' from Harlequin Dream, which spent weeks in the Top 5 on the Triple A Top 30 Chart. The band made their U.S. late night TV debut on CONAN, as well as appeared on NPR’s “World Café With David Dye” and VH1 Big Morning Buzz. In their home country, Harlequin Dream debuted at #1 on the ARIA Top Albums Chart and was certified Platinum. Their last album, 'Limit Of Love', also debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart, and saw the band at the peak of their career, selling out major venues such as Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and Brisbane’s Riverstage, and touring across the world.
