Badly Drawn Boy releases new single 'Is This A Dream?'

Teases forthcoming album

Badly Drawn Boy, aka Damon Gough, releases a new single entitled 'Is This A Dream?' on January 24th, through Kobalt Music. Produced and mixed in Stockport last year by Gethin Pearson (Kele Okereke, JAWS) after original production by Youth (The Verve, Paul McCartney), the single marks the end of a seven-year recording hiatus. The single shows Gough pushing forward yet again both musically and lyrically whilst retaining some of his classic trademarks and as always wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Details of the new Badly Drawn Boy album will be revealed soon.

“The song is a sound collage of chaos and confusion to reflect the ridiculous times we live in. A deliberately cartoonesque sonic poke in the eye, to those in whom we place trust, yet instead supply constant barrage of misinformation followed by bad decisions.”  - Badly Drawn Boy

To celebrate the release of the single the Mercury Music Prize winner will be playing two shows with his new band and playing a mixture of old and new songs.
